Obfuscat AI-proof

Over the last five years, since the initial release in 2021, code protected using obfuscation techniques via the Obfuscat programme has remained secure.

In the never-ending race between the arrow and the shield, the recent availability of Artificial Intelligence tools has made it much easier to reverse-engineer obfuscated code.

A new version of Obfuscat has been released, which has successfully passed tests against common AI tools such as Gemini, ChatGPT…

Source code protected by Obfuscat remains impenetrable, as usual.

As an added convenience, a License manager is available for Obfuscat users. Please see the ‘License’ section on the homepage for further details.

Obfuscat.org go live

The first commercial software protected by Obfuscat.org is already published on easyesef.eu/resources
These are the easyREADER and easyQC programs, used respectively to read and pass quality control of annual financial reports of European listed companies. Testing started in June 2021. The test case is a mapper prototype for some central banks in Europe. Obfuscat.org has been protecting the code ever since. One issue in the test code is that it was composed of several modules from different authors. Therefore, no password could be used.
